I am a mum of 3 children and creating beautiful dolls started as a fun hobby. In 2011 I discovered I really enjoyed creating dolls for people to love and enjoy. I am passionate about being able to create something that I have put my heart into and that feels and looks right to me. Creativity is important to me and so my dolls are rarely repeated and are very often one of a kind. I do not create many dolls in a year as it takes me a long time, it is not a production line and nor would I want it to be. If I create the same doll twice it will never look exactly the same as a previous creation as I prefer to each one to be unique. You can be sure therefore that almost every creation from me is unique and is unlikely to be repeated!

About Thistledown Dolls

Established in 2011, Thistledown Dolls is focused on a commitment to creating beautiful baby dolls for doll collectors all over the world. I have created dolls for specialist events such as exhibitions, plays, conferences and marketing materials as well as for doll collectors. I have been specialising in silicone work since early 2017 and aim to provide a high standard of artistry as well as professionalism that I can. Most of my creations are painted to order and a painting slot and unpainted kit can be reserved with a deposit. Occasionally I have creations for general sale. For more information about the baby dolls I have in the process of creation, reach out to me today. Thistledown Nursery changed its name to Thistledown Dolls in 2020. There is a fake facebook page and website stealing my photos and pictures - they do not have dolls for sale. Any dolls I have for sale can only be purchased by contacting me via facebook or email below.

Carefully creative

New blank silicone baby dolls arrive regularly and usually are scheduled for creation in the nursery a few months ahead. All babies, as they start the process, go through a carefully planned and executed preparation to ensure the very best results. This preparation involves washing several times, treating with alcohol subtances to remove mold release agents from the pouring process followed by a layer of clear silicone to help seal and then provide a smooth surface to begin painting.

I can advise you on the different types of silicones available and size or type of doll to ensure we meet your needs the best and I can support you to try to ensure you have the best buying experience to find your ideal silicone doll. I aim to provide top quality creative services when creating your new baby doll that you can love for many years to come.

Regular updates

You can expect regular updates on the creation of your baby doll and photos whilst painting is progressing. Most photos are high resolution and show the tiniest of details, some that even the eye cannot see very easily. Whenever you work with Thistledown Nursery, you can trust that you’re in experienced and careful hands

Opening Hours

I work on dolls as time permits and have a family and a part time job so I am not available 24/7 but messages are usually answered within a day or two. I am in the UK so your timezone may be different. Please bear this in mind when contacting me. Phone calls can be arranged with an appointment should it be required.
